Who is Eligible for Allotments?

Question

Who is Eligible for Allotments?

Answer

All active duty enlisted members and officers are eligible to allot their pay.

Members of the reserve component serving on active duty, active duty for training, or full-time training duty under orders specifying more than 180 days (extended active duty) are eligible for allotments. Reserve component members who are not on extended active duty may not have their pay allotted.

Members of the National Guard not on extended active duty can make one allotment for payments of premiums under Group Life Insurance Program sponsored by the state military department in which the member holds a National Guard membership or by the State Associations of the National Guard.
