Readjustment/Separation Pay

Question

I have not received my Readjustment/Separation pay. What should I do?

Answer

In order to obtain Separation Pay you will need to submit your request with a copy of your DD-214 and DD-215 (if applicable), Separation Orders, and a written agreement, signed prior to your release from active duty, stating that you were willing to serve in the Ready Reserves (RR) for a period of no less than three years following your separation from active duty.

If you did not sign a written agreement to join the RR upon separation, we will be unable to process your request for Separation Pay. If you believe you are owed Separation Pay, a possible avenue of relief is to petition the Board for Correction of Military Records (BCMR) by completing a DD Form 149, Application for Correction of Military Records. You should submit the application, along with supporting documentation, to the appropriate address on the second page.
