Pay Day

Question

When will my direct deposit be in my bank account?

Answer

Pay days for active component members and reserve component members on tours of 30 days or more for each of the military services are on the 1st and 15th of the month, unless those days fall on a weekend or a Federal legal holiday. If that is the case, pay day will be the business day before the weekend or Federal legal holiday, but not more than three days before the scheduled payday.

Example: if July 1st is on a Saturday, pay day will be Friday, June 30th.

For payrolls otherwise payable on October 1, the Secretary of Defense will determine if the payroll may be dated in September.

If you have not received pay by your scheduled pay date, please begin your research by contacting your financial institution. Drilling members or members on active duty tours of less than 30 days may be paid on various pay dates during the month. These pay dates will also not occur on a weekend or Federal legal holiday.
